AAI has contributed chairs and schoolbooks to impoverished and overcrowded elementary schools such as Don Jose Godinez. 2007-2008 DPIS education plans include expanded livelihood and entrepreneurial training to help raise revenues for the schools, as well as learning technology training for teachers.

AAI Program Coordinator Hani Sumndad coordinates provisions of relief food and clothing to families displaced by fighting in surrounding area at Kasambuhan Elementary School, which has become a Red Cross designated relief center. Funds for food and medical assistance were provided by an NGO partner, Feed the Hungry, and students at Catholic colleges in Manila who offered to assist their Muslim brothers and sisters in Jolo.
