As a virtue of being part of Asia America Initiative, I was able to gain exposure to numerous cultures. I was working with other interns and professionals who were from South Korea, China, Singapore, Japan and the U.S. What I mostly enjoyed while working for Asia America Initiative was the diveristy of opinions based upon each culture...
Even though we had different opinions about different controversies (for instance, a territorial issue, a history textbook issue, and the Yasukuni Shrine visit) I enjoyed working together with my fellow interns at Asia America Initiative and having spirited discussions on these subjects with them. By working with them, my vision was widened and now I am capable of looking at the issue from the other county's point of view.
