"The AFPC-API organizes relief for medical supply shortage and support for HIV/AIDS crisis in Cambodia"

The Asia-Pacific Initiative is currently organizing, in partnership with MedPharm, Inc., Global Diagnostics, Inc. and Cambodia's Ambassador to the United States Hon. Roland Eng, an emergency medical aid delivery and HIV/AIDS diagnosis and treatment program for Cambodia. The urgency of organizing medical aid shipments and an HIV/AIDS support program is evident as Cambodia possesses Southeast Asia's highest HIV prevalence rate. In addition, as of early February 2003, Cambodia's hospitals have been facing a shortage of blood, serum, antibiotics and other essentials drugs and medicines.

For more information, see the series of articles from the January 2003 Cambodia Chronicle.
