Summer Reading Camps sparks more than just imagination—they inspire a bright future!
For the first time, AAI enriched Summer Break for children in Sulu with books, learning kits and organic gardens. Through volunteer teachers, true magic began to unfold in our Reading Camps’ safe spaces!
We believe that learning thrives when communities come together. For the children in underserved areas, reading is more than just a school activity—it’s a gateway to confidence, creativity, and lifelong curiosity.
Local teachers and volunteer parents took ownership, organizing daily reading sessions, fun activities and providing simple, nutritious meals to fortify young minds and keep bodies nourished. What started as a simple idea is becoming a joyful tradition where children gather, learn, and grow together—page by page and bite by bite.
We are proud to share these photos at Badjao, Lugmah, Sapie, Timbangan, and Salih Yusah Elementary Schools in Sulu, Philippines. Our hope is to expand this effort to even more schools throughout the war-torn province so that every child has the opportunity to read, dream, and thrive.
We are honored to support and keep this program going strong—because we believe in the power of reading, and in the strength of communities that grow together.
